Prizes

The Politics Department offers one prize in the Honours program; the University offers another.

The Nora Rose Memorial Prize

The Nora Rose Prize, which honours the memory of the mother of a former Politics Honours student (Dennis Rose), is presented for the most outstanding work in the Honours year. ('Outstanding' is taken to mean work done at the level of a middle First or above). 

This prize is awarded by the Division of Humanities on the recommendation of the Department.

The University Medal

The University Medal in Politics is awarded (on the recommendation of the Medals Committee of the University's Senate) to a student with a top First Class result and a very strong undergraduate record in Politics.
